Tashi Phuntsho – btNOG

TRAINER: Layer 1-3 Networking

Tashi comes with experience across Telecommunications and IP networks having worked for more than a decade as a core network engineer for Bhutan Telecom, before taking up a role as a Senior Network Analyst/Technical Trainer in Australia.

For the last 5 years, Tashi was involved in capacity development in the Asia-Pacific region by providing training and technical assistance on a number of technical areas, such as Network Design/Architecture, Network Security, IPv6, IXP build/operation, etc.

Tashi also had a short stint at Australia’s first blockchain company – Blockchain Global. 

Tashi currently works as the Technology Solutions Lead for a disability care and child protection organisation, while continuing to volunteer as a program committee member for APRICOT, SANOG, mnNOG and btNOG during his spare time. 

His current areas of interest include: Enterprise Architecture, IPv6, Securing Internet Routing, Network Programmability and Network Automation, DNSSEC.
